Crédit Agricole Payment Services achieves Latest nexo Acquirer Protocol Certification

nexo standards, the international association enabling global interoperability in payment acceptance, today announces Crédit Agricole Payment Services (CAPS), the Crédit Agricole Group’s payment services arm, has achieved certification for its Acquirer Host in line with the latest nexo standard Acquirer Protocol v6.0. The protocol standardizes the communication between the point of interaction (POI) device and the acquirer host. Now, merchants can partner with CAPS confident of the interoperability and quality of its nexo standards-based system.

The implementation benefited from utilizing nexo’s Implementation Specification (IS) v4.0 package to fast-track solution development. CAPS has engaged with nexo since 2015 as a Principal Member and is an active participant in the associaction’s working groups, helping drive the technical roadmap. It was one of the industry’s early adopters of nexo, and this latest accreditation follows its first certification in October last year to accommodate the latest updates to the protocol.

“We’re proud champions of nexo standards. The association is easing the complexities facing the payments market and enabling a new age of innovation that benefits all stakeholders and crucially, the end consumer,” comments Olivier Julou, Strategy and Partnership Manager at CAPS and nexo standards Board Member. “nexo has been a central part of our strategy to improve system efficiency and enable us to easily extend our global reach but now, we’re responding directly to market requests for nexo. With this latest certification, we’ve achieved an important hallmark of quality and trust for our customers.”

“Market demand for nexo standards is higher than ever before. And in response, active members such as CAPS are making significant progress in their deployment and adoption strategies,” comments Jacques Soussana, General Secretary at nexo standards. “With the combination of our protocols, implementation guidelines, collaborative working groups, and testing and certification support, we’re providing members with the tools to build and validate their solutions, fast-tracking their path to deployment. nexo standards is fast becoming a reality.”
